I tried using my heart
To coax my mind
Not to overthink

My mind shot back
Why don’t you tell you heart
Not to overfeel

Caught between the two
Each a powerhouse in its own right,
I applied my mind to understand
what’s in my heart
I felt heavy in my heart
with the burden of expectations
my mind deemed unreasonable

My mind labelled my heart then
an emotional wreck:
“You’ll lose yourself under your own weight”
A smile of victory crossed my heart then
It lit up and said:
“Unlike you, I am found upon being lost”
